The University was formerly incorporated and known as Master skill Education Group Berhad (MEGB) in 1997 which is a leading provider in Nursing and Allied Health education in Malaysia, principally engaged in the provision of higher education and training. MEGB encompasses two institutes, i.e. Asia Metropolitan University (AMU) that officially attained university college status in2008 and Master skill Global College that was registered with the Ministry of Higher Education in 2004.

As the premier provider in holistic education in Nursing and Allied Health in the country, we aim to met the health needs of the world We prepare our students to function effectively in multifaceted roles in variety of settings to promote the health and well-being of every individual and strive to build an inquisitive mind, motivate academic excellence as well as foster lifelong learning Experience in all our students.

The University is located in Cheras Salengor, which is fully equipped flagship campus that opened its doors in 2004. As the number of students climbed through years, we saw a need for expansion. To date we have established four other satellite Campus in key areas through Malaysia, i.e poh, Katab Bhan, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu, as well as a university college branch in Johor in April 2010. This allows the institute to offer equal educational opportunities to students in the Northern, Central and Southern regions, as well as East Coast and Western Coast of Malaysia.

 
 
â–¡Program Contents

Candidates must complete any 10 Modules plus two elective subjects of the following offshore MBA Program which requires extensive self-studying plus submission of a thesis/project of not less than 15,000 words for award of the MBA Degree of AMU . Candidates are required to attend oral examinations of their thesis.

Professional Designations MBA graduates with management work history are eligible to apply for the designation of Certified Professional Business Manager (CPBM) conferred by the Professional Association of Management Executives International (PAME International) which is solely open to MBA graduates with financial and/or management experience. This is the professional management designation which has been widely accepted in business world as a social and professional status.

 
 
â–¡Research Project and Assessment

Types of Research Project

â—†  MBA students may choose two different types of research project. The first type of research project is organizational-based, which requires the student to examine a specific problem within a single organization. Examples include developing new strategies for a corporation or an agency force in an company, evaluating the impact of a new performance system in an organization, reviewing a human resource management system in a company.
â—†  The second type of research project is industry-based, which requires the student to examine a generic problem common to a range of organizations in a certain industrial sector. Examples include the impact of government regulations on the performance of catering companies. The impact of Chinese government's economic policies on financial institutes in Hong Kong.
â—†  Both types of research project will enhance students' knowledge in the areas of their research and capacities for their career advancement.

How learning be assessed

â—†  Students must complete the Program within one year and assessed by examinations, assignments plus submission of a management project or a thesis of not less than 15,000.
